For any leak test system, the connection between the test system and the part is critical. ION SYSTEMS are experts in ensuring that this interface is simple, yet leak-free. Sealing Connectors are a quick and easy way to connect the part to be tested, to the equipment making the test.

Sealing Connectors

The connectors are operated, by applying a pneumatic drive to the port (marked P). This pressure will then separate the two parts of the connector body, thus compressing the seal. The seal itself will then expand to seal on the face of the open aperture.

There are two main types of connector:

  • MALE: This type of connector is used to seal on the inside of the open aperture.
  • FEMALE: This type of connector is used to seal on the outside of the open aperture.

Many different variants are available, such as threaded connectors, double headers, and some obscure specials.
